Brushstrokes

The Misterton Art Group, “Brushstrokes” meets on Friday mornings from 11am to 1pm in the Church Room (Church Lane, Misterton DN10 4AL).

The group was established in approximately 2014 and currently has 12 members. Members are at different skill levels: from complete beginners to established local artists  - and use a range of media. The group also offers a social space that is friendly and supportive. People come when they can, so who attends each week varies. Sometimes a professional artist is invited to run a longer, focused session on a particular aspect of art, eg landscapes, animals, using oils, and to offer advice on techniques.

Members’ work is on permanent display in the Church Room, where their pictures can be bought. The group holds one or two exhibitions a year.

Members pay £5 per session – the first, introductory session is free.
